The Avon School Open House is scheduled August 17, 2021, for preschool through 5th grade students. To allow teachers an opportunity to interact with families and students on a more personal level during the open house, we are scheduling families into the building by last name. If there are combined families, we certainly understand the need for convenience and to eliminate several trips into the building. Therefore, such families are encouraged to select a session that fits the last name of one of the families within your household and have all students within the household attend that session.
Read more"Operation Dig" Vacation Bible School was held August 2nd through 5th at the Avon City Park. Four churches combined to put on this Community Bible School. They included Friedensberg Bible Church, First Baptist Church, First Presbyterian Church, and Danzig Baptist Church. Many volunteers made this possible and we had over 50 kids in attendance each day. We started each day with prayer, pledges, and singing. Then, kids split up into groups for bible stories and did scripture memory. They participated in crafts and recreational activities to work up their appetite for snack time. Each day ended with a closing program. The offering this year is going to the Avon Library to purchase faith-based books for kids in the community to enjoy. They finished with a closing program on Thursday the 5th with a meal following. Thanks to the City of Avon for the use of the park and for everyone that made this possible!
