    Libraries across the United States have received permission from Netflix to screen the first 6 1-hour episodes of the newly released series “Little House on the Prairie.” The Library will do a showing of the series beginning about 1:30 p.m. each day Mon-Fri beginning Monday, July 20th, upon request.

    President Jamie Soukup breathed a little sigh of relief as he rang the Rotary Bell for the last time as President of our local club. President Jamie has done a wonderful job as President for the past 2025-2026 year guiding the membership through programs, events, and off-site projects.

    LOCAL DELEGATES PARTICIPATE IN SOUTH DAKOTA GOP CONVENTION

    Around 750 delegates of the South Dakota Republican Party met on June 25-June 27 at the Monument in Rapid City. Eleven delegates from Charles Mix County attended. The Republican Platform was reviewed and revised by the voting members, along with many Resolutions.

    The Avon 8U Baseball team wrapped up its season in championship fashion by hosting and winning the 8U League Tournament on Saturday, June 27. The young Pirates opened the tournament with a 15-4 victory over Tabor before defeating Parkston 7-2 to advance to the championship game.
