Lindsey (Van Gerpen) Fathke, a 2005 graduate of Avon High School, began her teaching career in the Bon Homme School District in Tabor, where she taught 2nd and 3rd grade for eight years.

Chauncey Cletus Blaine, 42, died Tuesday, April 7, 2026. Funeral services were Monday, April 13 at the Marty Community Center.
Celebration of Life services will be held for Ben DeGroot, 44, of Willmar, MN on Saturday April 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Avon. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 10 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner with burial to follow at the Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner.
Matilda P Martin, 82, of Wagner, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Avera Queeen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell, due to complications of pneumonia.
