CELEBRATING DOCTOR'S DAY!

March 30th was Doctor’s Day and we'd like to give a big thank you to the St. Michael's Hospital Avera Staff for all they do for their patients and community. Courtesy photo

The patient knew something was wrong. After appointments with several specialists, multiple scans, and tests, she was given a diagnosis. Still, she felt certain something was not right. I sat down with her and listened. We repeated a test she had a year prior, and this time the test garnered a different result. There was a tumor growing. She listened to her gut, she persisted and with an accurate diagnosis she got the medical care she needed.

YOUNG’S JAG PROJECT BENEFITS COMMUNITY

On March 10 and 11, Laila Young held a Food & Cleaning Supply Donation. Laila was challenged by her JAG Specialist to do a Senior project which would benefit many people in the community. The Donation was held at Wagner Community School. Wednesday, March 10th was Hat Day with Thursday, March 11th being Pajama Day. If student or teacher donated to the drive on Wednesday, they were allowed to wear a hat for the day. Thursday if student or teacher donated to the drive, they were able to wear comfy pj’s all day. The Food & Cleaning Donation Drive was a huge success. All donations and proceeds were donated to the Marty Food Pantry.

ROCS PROVIDES FREE TAX PREPARATION

The Rural Office of Community Services, Inc. (ROCS) of Wagner is providing free tax preparation services in South Eastern and South Central South Dakota.

EASTER CANTATA

The Bon Homme Community Choir is making final preparations for the 2021 Easter Cantata Performances. This year’s cantata is comprised of songs from past cantatas and new contemporary music. Our message is that of “Hope”. In the midst of our struggles and the storms of life, we will overcome. We can have Triumphant Hope, Open our eyes and see the relief... the Victory...the HOPE, that in the end, God does indeed win. Hallelujah, He is Risen.
