LaFaye French, 76, of Wagner died Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Wake services were Tuesday at the All Tribes Fellowship Church in Wagner. Funeral services were Thursday, June 10 at the church. Burial was in the Cedar Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

PFEIFER WINS PFOURTH, POESSNECKER TRIUMPHANT IN RETURN AT WAGNER

Following over an inch of rain early Friday morning, crews worked hard to get Wagner Speedway into race shape and the Fort Randall Casino Weekly Racing Series was on, presented by Koenig Lumber of Fairfax. Special guests to headline the show were the T&R Contracting Late Model Street Stock series.

Library news

The library began summer programming last Monday, the 7th and have had a great turn out of students, but we would enjoy seeing more students. Some programs of interest still on the dock-it for this summer include: SD Ballet Performance, July 1st, at 2:00. If weather permits we will be on the grassy area to the east of the library. If the weather is bad we will be at the Lake Andes Community Center, 207 Main Street, Lake Andes. No charge to attend.
