After almost thirty years in the meat locker business, owners Dave and Sandra Brandt are saying good-bye to their treasured small business. At the age of 74-years-old, Dave admits it is time to hang up his butchering duties and enjoy retirement. The many years of operating a family business has left him with a multitude of stories and memories that he was happy to share with the Avon Clarion and Pechous Publications.

This initiative, endorsed by President Biden (executive order 14008), is aimed at placing 30% of our nation’s land and water under federal protection/ownership by the year 2030. A Rotary program first made me aware of the 30 x 30 Initiative. Since that time concerned landowner emails and talk around Wagner have heightened my awareness.

The family requested friends to wear any sports apparel or team colors of Zach’s or your favorite sports team. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to the American Heart Association or to a memorial to be determined at a later date. Peters Funeral Chapel in Avon was in charge of arrangements.
