SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

McKenna Marie Kocmich was born on March 10, 2006. Her familyincludesherdadDon,her mom,Dawn,andhersister,Maddie. McKennna’sfavoritesubject in school is chemistry because she likes doing experiments. Her most challenging task as a senior is trying to figure out her future. McKenna likes to be with her friends and family, read, golf, and go shopping in her spare time. Her favorite high school activities include volleyball, basketball, and golf. One memory McKenna will remember forever is cheering at the Football State Championship.

STATE ONE ACT

This year Avon School district went to State One Act at Brandon Valley High School. At the state one act competition, Avon won 1st place. We interviewed the drama director, 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Knodel. These where some of the comments she had about making it to state this year. “I felt amazing after learning we advanced at regions. Each year it seems as if ourcompetitionbecomesstronger. I was excited to be able to have a change to perform at the State One Act festival for the 4th year in a row!”

HIGH SCHOOL BOWLING PARTY

On Friday, January 26 the high school traveled to Yankton for its annual bowling party. The students had a fun-filled and eventful day. After everyone had played their two rounds of bowling, they went and ate dinner at Pizza Ranch. When they got back to the school, students spent time together playing board games and hanging out until the end of the day.

Hunter was born on August 29, 2005. He was welcomed into this world by his mom, Carol, sister Tiffany, brother Michael and his grandpa, Ray. As he grew up, Hunter attended Avon School. His favorite subject is PE because he said it was easy for him and the games he plays along with his classmates are exciting and competitive. While PEiseasy;Hunter’shardestsubject is Math. Another challenge seeninHunter’seyesistryingto figure out what he wants to do after he graduates. In Hunter's spare time he likes to attend Pirate Athletics, hang out with friends, especially Kaden, listen to music, and watch videos on YouTube.
