On Tuesday, September 12th Wagner traveled to Winner to compete in varsity, junior varsity, and middle school golf. Carter Smejkal took 35th place in the varsity division. Avery Medicine Bear placed 11th and Paxton Kuhlman placed 12th in the junior varsity division. Kason Jonas took home 15th place in the middle school division.
Read moreOn Monday, September 11, Wagner held their local Cross Country Meet. It was a beautiful day for this meet. It was even more beautiful with all of our Cross Country members' parents/guardians in attendance. It was an afternoon to cheer on all the cross country members and to recognize their parents. The Senior Cross Country Members were also specifically given recognition- as this is their last year participating in Cross Country. Senior members of this year’s Cross Country Team include Jennifer Barnett, Jason Weston, Owen Bekanich, Caleb Zephier and Vincent Bechen. Most of these runners have been in Cross Country since the 6/7 grade. It is a pleasure to have such a great group of Senior Student Athletes to guide the younger runners on our team.
Read moreThe Wagner Volleyball team traveled to Bon Homme on Saturday, September 16th to compete in the 16 team Cavalier Clash. In pool play Wagner first faced AC/ DC and won with scores of 25-1025-20. Next they faced Elk Point/ Jefferson and fell short with scores of 20-25 and 23-25. Last match in pool play they met up with Parker and won with scores of 25-15 and 25-16. Earning runner-up in pool play the Raiders faced Platte/Geddes in first round bracket play and fought a tough close battle ending up short with scores of 25-13, 25-27, and 15-25.

JAG stands for Jobs For America’s Graduates and its mission is to empower the nation’s young people with the skills and support to succeed in education, employment and life. The ceremony was held at 7:30 p.m. in the Andes Central Auxiliary Gym. Syrianna Never Misses A Shot gave the welcome to the event. There was a supper provided by the JAG organization. After the meal, Ignacia Gallegos gave a brief explanation of what the JAG program does and its mission.

She was the mother of five children, preceded in death by her son Barry Aquash and granddaughter Eva Aquash. She is survived by her children Marc Locklear (Jackie) of Wagner, Brian Locklear (Rudine) of Pembroke, NC, Sheila Hunt (Vardell) of Pembroke, NC and Stephen Locklear of Pembroke NC.
