WRESTLERS HAVE BUSY WEEK ON THE MAT

The Raiders had a busy week of competition, starting with the Miller Tournament, Saturday January 9th followed by the Bon Homme/ Scotland/Avon dual on Tuesday January 12th followed by the Philip dual tournament Friday January 15th. We had a strong showing throughout these three competitions. The Raiders finished with four placers at the Miller tournament. Karstyn Lhotak bringing home third place, Jhett Breen with 3rd, Bradyn Lhotak 3rd, and Nolan Dvorak 4th. The Raiders then traveled to Scotland on Tuesday for a dual against BHSA. While the dual came down to the last match to decide the final outcome, the Raiders came up short. With a short handed team, only filling 11 out of 14 spots, we wrestled very well and showed a lot of fight in every match. To cap the week of competition we traveled to Philip on Friday for a dual tournament. We wrestled four west river teams, Philip, Sturgis, Lead-Deadwood, and Mobridge-Pollock finishing the dual tournament 2-2 respectively. The Raiders received their first dualvictory of the seasonfrom Lead-Deadwood followed by another victory from Mobridge-Pollock. The first dual wins of the year were well deserved from a hard fighting team that wrestled with a lot of energy.
