On Saturday, May 1, ACDC hosted the AC/DC Invitation Track Meet and the Thunder Ladies took first as a team. The results are as follows.

On Friday, May 7, ACDC competed in the Burnell Glanzer Relays, where the Thunder Ladies came home with gold. The results are as follows.

Monday, May 3rd the Avon Elementary Music Department put on a Spring Operetta called HATS! By John Jacobson and John Higgins. It was directed and Choreographed by Mrs. Autumn Schultz. The elementary students had a blast showing off their hats and moves.

Avon held their Annual Awards Program Thursday, May 6th in the Avon Gym. It was opened with a prayer said by Pastor Dennis Webber. The senior choir girls performed "The Defining Moment" and James Tjeerdsma was the Guest Speaker.

After 29 years, Dave and Sandy Brandt have decided to sell the Avon Locker to two young couples, Devin and Jill Tolsma, and Logan Powers and Alyson Stahl. New ownership will take over effective May 17th. Be sure to show your support to the new owners at Southside Meats LLC, as they begin this new endeavor.
