FSA COMMITTEE ELECTION IN PROCESS

Lake Andes— The Charles Mix County Farm Service Agency (FSA) County Committee Election is being held this year in Local Administrative Area #2. This area includes Goose Lake, Highland, Howard, Moore, Plain Center, Wahehe, and White Swan townships. The nominee for this election is Jeffrey Kuhlman and Randy Robertson. The successful candidate will serve a three-year term on the FSA county committee.

5TH & 6TH GRADE BASKETBALL SEASON KICKS OFF

The Avon girl’s 5th and 6th grade basketball team, Coached by Lindsey Fathke, participated in the Wagner girl’s basketball tournament on Saturday, November 6. The Lady Pirates came in 4th overall. They played teams from Wagner, Gregory and Platte-Geddes. Other school’s that participated at the 6th grade level, include Centerville and Corsica-Stickney. Next up on the schedule, the girl’s will host two games - versus Scotland on Tuesday, November 9 at 4:00 p.m. and against Centerville on Monday, November 15 at 4:00 p.m. Courtesy Photo.
