Andes Central FFA traveled to Redfield on March 1st for the first Career Development Event (CDE) competition of the season. At this competition the Horse Judging team made up of Riata Bultje, Marin Bultje and Callie Bergin finished third as a team and qualified for the state CDE competition. It was an excellent first competition for the team followed by a 4th place team finish in the next competition at Bridgewater-Emery on March 11th. Here is a little bit more about the three members of the Horse Judging team and what their event all entails.

Elaine was born December 20, 1935 in Lake Andes to Charles Stedronsky Jr. and Josephine (Dolejsi) Stedronsky. She was the youngest of eight children and the last to pass of her siblings.

Read moreCharles Mix County Republicans will hold a county caucus April 15th at 7:00 p.m. at Gods Country Campground Event Center 35398 SD Hwy 44. This caucus is the first step of the process to elect South Dakota’s delegates to the Republican National Convention that will be held in Milwaukee July 15 th. Three candidate delegates to the national convention will be elected at the meeting. Those three candidates will participate in a regional caucus that will be held to elect the four delegates and four alternates authorized from Region 5. The delegates from Region 5 will go on to the State meeting to select the final delegates for the National meeting in Milwaukee.
