Read moreAfter several months of planning for Sunday, June 9th the stage is finally set for the 4th annual “605 Unity Jam” to be held at the park at Wagner Lake on the west side of Wagner, S.D.. This special day will begin at 10:00 a.m. with an out door non-denominational church service, where everyone is invited to attend. At noon, the “Unity Jam” will begin and is a “jamboree of art and music” with art and craft vendors, food trucks, a wide variety of musical acts and cultural related programing through out the day.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of EMS week and this year’s theme being “Honoring Our Past”. National EMS Week is a time to celebrate and recognize those that serve the community while educating the public about EMS and the services that they provide.
Read moreCrowned on Saturday June 1st at the Fish Days Street Dance were the winners of the Mr. Carp and Miss Bullhead competition. Those competing for the coveted titles were Cole Bergin, Cliff Johnson, Bradley Dangel, Tab Stluka, Joy Wenzlaff and Aubrey Gray. Cliff Johnson was crowned Mr. Carp and the Miss Bullhead title went to Aubrey Gray. This year after everything was totaled the group raised over $5,000. At the time of the kissing of the fish, both winners had to kiss their fish for 47 seconds. Here is a little bit about the winners.
Read moreThis summer South Dakota Emergency Medical Services for Children is partnering with local Pediatric Champions and community driver’s education instructors to present our Choices, Chances, Decisions (CCD) and Stop the Bleed (STB) curriculum. This program educates new drivers about impaired driving, Buckle Up Phone Down, bicycle safety, and will be among the first in the nation to incorporate Stop the Bleed (STB) training into driver’s education classes.
