BEAVER CARCASSES - DID THEY NEED TO BE WASTED?

Last week I related my futile adventure with a ridiculously large fish on ridiculously light tackle. Fishing a river bottom, whether it is the James, Missouri, or Wisconsin River, with a gob of night crawler on light tackle was foolhardy on my part. Carp, buffalo, and catfish can easily exceed fifty pounds in weight. Sturgeon can exceed a hundred pounds, and the freshwater drum whose action we were enjoying can go thirty pounds or more.

Just Thought I'd Ask

MARK 12:14-17 "And when they (the Pharisees) were come, they say unto him (first as a complement) Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man; for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth. (then comes the words that are said to catch Jesus in His own Words) Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not? Shall we give or shall we not give? But he knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? Bring me a penny, that I may see it. And they brought it, and he saith unto them (catching them in their own scheme ) whose is this image and superscription? And the answered Caesar"s. And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesars" and to God the things that are God's. And they Marveled at him." (KJV)

FSA PROVIDES OPTIONS TO MANAGE THE FARM PROGRAMS

Lake Andes- Charles Mix County farmers have a high number of farms enrolled in the Agriculture Risk Coverage – Individual Program (ARC-IC). Producers with multiple farms enrolled into the 2020 ARC-IC program have the option to withdraw certain farms from the program if in the producer’s judgment it would improve the potential for a revenue-based payment on the farms remaining enrolled in the ARC-IC program. Producers may have some farms that appear to have above average revenue potential based on the 2020 estimated yields and current commodity price outlook. Other farms due to adverse weather conditions may have a below average 2020 revenue potential. These farms may generate an ARC-IC payment if their revenue loss is not offset by the higher revenue farms. To withdraw a farm from the ARC-IC program, producers must file a written request at the FSA Office by September 30, 2020. The request should specify the specific farm number(s), the county where the farm is administered, and the intention to withdraw the contract(s) with the understanding that no 2020 payment will be earned on the withdrawn farm(s).
