MAGGIE IN THE MEANTIME IS COMING TO THE 605 UNITY JAM

A wide variety of music will be featured at the 4th Annual 605 Unity Jam at Wagner Lake on June 9 in Wagner. One musical group is “Maggie in the Meantime”, which is a band made up of four musicians who play fiddle, guitar, keyboards, pipes, oboe and drums. They blend story telling with original and traditional Celtic music and stories. You will also hear hear familiar songs and new ones, as well as humorous and haunting tales of Scotland, Ireland and regions of America where the Celtic peoples have settled.

LAKE ANDES SENIOR LIVING CENTER HONORS THEIR NURSING STAFF

With National Nursing Week celebrated May 6th through May 12th, it is only fitting to honor and recognize those that take care of the senior members of the community. The Lake Andes Senior Living Center has a wonderful nursing staff of eight nurses. The nurses on staff at the Lake Andes Senior Living Center include Patsy Bergin Riekman, Sarah Carda, Alicia R, Toni Bartunek, Deanna Houseman, Karen Olson, Arlys Johnson, and Emily I.

BAMBAS - ANDES CENTRAL SCHOOL NURSE RECOGNIZED DURING NURSES WEEK

National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6th through the 12th. Andes Central School District is lucky to have a wonderful school nurse that serves dual positions as an elementary administrative professional and school nurse. Terri Bambas does a fantastic job in performing both positions at the school.

LIBRARY NEWS

The library will be sponsoring Bingo again for Fish Days. It is scheduled at the Community Center on Main Street on Sunday, June 2nd, 1-3 p.m. Any proceeds from the Bingo will go to the supporting the snack program at the library.
