A woman had been feeling short of breath for several weeks. Physical activities which had previously been easy for her were becoming a chore. In fact, simply laying down resulted in difficulty breathing. She had gained some weight and her legs were swollen.

Rotary News

Wagner Rotary gathered on a cool, windy, and rainy Wednesday for its October 20th meeting. Members were treated to a nice warm club room. President Bryan Slaba had a new thermostat installed which will regulate the temperature more efficiently than the old system. There were always two thermostats, one for AC and one for heat that were installed back in 1976 when the clubroom was remodeled from Piroutek Insurance to the Wagner Rotary Clubhouse. Members were forever choosing which thermostat to turn off or on, but these will not need adjusting and they are off limits to anyone!

Greer Post #11 American Legion

American Legion Greer Post #11 held its monthly meeting on October 21, 2021 at the Post Home with 28 members in attendance. Commander Clayton Rados called the members to attention. Chaplain Donald Kotab gave the invocation, which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion was recited by all members. Milton Haar, who is a son of a Legion member was a guest. Gordon Kotab, who is a member but lives in Sturgis, was also in attendance. Commander Rados then called the meeting to order.

GIANTS IS A SOUTH DAKOTA CLASSIC

Fall always puts me in a literary mood, perhaps because the South Dakota Festival of Books is held in late September or early October. I relish the opportunity to listen to writers discuss their books and always leave inspired to work on new projects.
