Thank you to everyone that came out to help boost the LOCAL blood supply! The units donated at the blood drive can help save up to 138 lives! There were several milestone donors who are listed below and a special thanks to Marlene Stone, Joan Novak, the Ladies Hospital Auxiliary and the Wagner Fire Hall for sponsoring and hosting the blood drive.
Read moreThe 2021 Charles Mix 4-H Achievement Days preparations are well on their way. The 4-H families worked really hard last week to spruce up the 4-H Center and Grounds. From scrubbing the floors to mowing the lawn, these families took pride in preparing to celebrate with you their achievements this year. Pens were also set up to hold and show the animals being exhibited this year. The Charles Mix 4-H families cordially invite you to come see the exhibits, partake in the free will offering pork loin BBQ Friday, August 6th at 5:30. Parade of Champions/Style Show to follow at 6:30. The night would not be complete without AgOlympics. The club members are excited with anticipation of the following AgOlympics: Speed Milking, Holey Bucket Race, Trike Race, and Chicken Herding. The finale to Ag-Olympics will be Pie-in-the-Face where the winners get to throw whip cream pies at the 4-H Youth Program Advisor’s face. Additional tickets will be sold for those that wish to take in on the fun.
