The Wagner Red Raiders were on the road again this week to compete in the Harrisburg Oral Interp Contest. The contest consisted of 10+ teams from different towns from class B, A, and AA. The teams competed in the following categories: Storytelling, Drama, Poetry, Non-O, Duet, Humorous, and Reader’s Theater.

Read moreOn October 8th 121 Vietnam veterans from South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota traveled to Sioux Falls to join the 8th Midwest Honor Flight to Washington DC. The event started with a banquet at the Sioux Falls convention center for the veterans, family member, guardians, board and flight crew of the Midwest Honor Flight. In the early morning October 9th we all boarded American Ailines Flight to Washington DC to tour Arlington National Cemetary, Marines War Memorial, Washington Monument, World War II Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam Memorial. On the return trip to Sioux Falls we were welcomed home by over 1,000 people at the Sioux Falls Convention Center arena. Local Vietnam Veterans that attended this were Daniel Rezac, Dante; Bill Lampman, Pickstown; Norman Huizenga, Platte; Gary Beeson, Wagner and Dennis Cihak, Avon. Many thanks to all that have donated to the Midwest Honor Flight fund, to Aaron Van Beek, board president, board members, crew and Guardians. It was a great honor to be a part of this.
