KDKO began giving this award in 2017 to our 3 local basketball teams, the Andes Central/Dakota Christian, Marty Indian and Wagner schools. Unfortunately, in 2020 we did not award a player of the year due to the pandemic.

The Wagner American Legion Auxiliary had a very successful Soup and Sandwich Luncheon and Bake Sale on Thursday, March 31. The Auxiliary would appreciates all of those who attended and all of those who donated. All of the proceeds will help veterans, military families, and children and youth in the community. President Trudy Qualm states, “We currently have members from eight counties from this area, so the name Charles Mix Republican Women no longer reflects who we are and the area we focus on.” The official name change application was reviewed and approved by both the National Federation of Republican Women and the South Dakota Federation of Republican Women.
