Read moreOn Thursday, March 30th the Wagner HOSA (Future Health Professional) students traveled to Sioux Falls to compete at the State Leadership Conference. This was a yearlong culmination of hard work and hours of dedication. Students competed against nearly 1,000 competitors from across South Dakota. The HOSA student competitors are Emma Yost, Lydia Yost, Emily Robertson, Jazmin Ehrisman, Kathryn Doom, Payton Petry, Corbin Carda, Kennedy Kourt, April Hollingsworth, Daniel Soukup, Libby Kotab, and Madison Robertson. Events and place winners are Kennedy Kourt – 1st Place in Pharmacology. Kathryn Doom – 1st Place in Medical Law & Ethics. April Hollingsworth - 1st Place in Job Seeking Skills, 8th Place in Clinical Lab Science. Emma Yost, Corbin Carda, Payton Petry, and Kathryn Doom – 3rd Place in HOSA Bowl. Emma Yost – 8th Place in Clinical Nursing. Corbin Carda – 9th Place in Physical Therapy. Daniel Soukup – 9th Place in Medical Spelling. Emily Robertson – Health Care Issues.

At the City Council meeting on April 3, representatives from the Department of the Dakotas Purple Heart Chapter presented signs that will be displayed on highways leading into Wagner.

Pastor/Rotarian Bill Heermann led the group in prayer.
