Read moreWork continues on the bridge replacement project for the US 18 bridge over a stream into St. Francis Bay. The bridge is being replaced due to being at the end of its expected lifespan and increased maintenance costs. There will be grading work at this location to improve safety and meet current roadway standards. Additionally, there will be intersection modifications at the US 18 and SD 50 junction in Lake Andes. By squaring up this intersection, it will make it easier to see oncoming traffic and improve safety.

The schedule for the summer includes 3 (yes 3) presentations at the library open to everyone. June 16 th at 1:15 pm the library will be hosting Gypsy Cowbelle and Home Spun Instruments which is provided through a grant from the SD Humanities Council. Come ready to tap your toes and clap your hands! On June 28th at 10 am a Magician Jeff Quinn will be performing at the library. What do rabbits, black hats and wands have in common? A magic show open to every age. Finally, do you like reptiles? On August 2nd at 10 am the Reptile Lady will be visiting the Lake Andes Library with her pets to do a presentation for anyone interested in learning more about reptiles.
