STUDENTS LEARN BASKETBALL FUNDAMENTALS

Basketball camp ran Monday through Thursday last week after school. The kids worked hard on all the basic fundamentals of basketball from shooting, dribbling and to passing. We appreciate the parents and the kids that attended for allowing us to work with them. A big thank you to Mike Frei and the Commercial State Bank for donating the camp tee-shirts for all the participants to help make camp a huge success.

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB SUPER BOWL 20 FOOTBALL SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE

After a memorable and history making Boys & Girls Club Super Bowl 20, our spring football season has come to a close. We cannot express enough gratitude to our volunteer coaches. We are thankful and appreciative for all of the time and dedication they put into our program. They make a huge impact on our youth and always have a positive attitude. To all of our players: you all had a GREAT season. The future is unbelievabley bright and we look forward to seeing you all play and grow together. TRACKREGION 5A MEET HELD IN PARKSTON

On Thursday, May 20, for the third time this year, Wagner’s track team traveled to Parkston for a meet. This time it was for the Region 5A meet. Teams competing were Ethan/Parkston, Madison, McCook Central/Montrose, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, Parker, and Wagner.

MEET THE 2021 MR. CARP AND MS. BULLHEAD CANDIDATES

Where can you enjoy three days of fun? In Lake Andes, the Most Magical Place of 2021, celebrating Fish Days June 4, 5 & 6! One of the Most Wonderful events during Fish Days is the Mr. Carp and Ms. Bullhead competition. This year’s Mr. Carp & Ms. Bullhead Candidates are ready to make their dreams come true by competing for their 2021 crown. In order for them to achieve this honor, they need your help! Vote for your favorite candidate by tossing some money in their bucket. They will be seen at various events during Fish Days and may have buckets at local businesses. The candidates who raise the most money will be crowned Mr. Carp & Ms. Bullhead Saturday night during the street dance! Your contribution helps pay for the Fish Days events we all love to attend, so please participate in the tradition!

Library news

Summer programming at the library is not only for our young people. If you are an adult and interested in learning more about how to use a computer, write a resume, use Facebook etc. the library would like to provide that assistance for you. We will take appointments for morning time slots(10:00am to 12:00 Noon) with one to one assistance. This will begin June 14th. Call the library at 487-7524 to make an appointment.
