Kenneth Eugene Davis, 79, of Yankon, was born May 16, 1942 in Peoria, IL, youngest of five born to Thomas John Davis (Sr.) and Edna Florence Priddy. Ken was 2nd generation American. His grandfather Isaiah, migrated from England in 1870, and was a coal miner in the Illinois coal mines.

Read moreThe Prairie Wanderers Volkssport Club is having a first ever Volks-Walk in Wagner on Saturday, September 11. All are invited to join us in our walk around the town of Wagner. We have a 5 Kilometer route (3.1 Miles) and a 10 Kilometer route (6.2 miles) planned. You may walk the 5K Route or the 10K route with us, your choice. It is a non-competitive event; everyone walks at their own pace for health and socialization. Club members will be available to talk about the history and goals of Volkssporting. If interested, the walk starts at Picnic Shelter C, at Wagner Lake Park. You may start the walk between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and finish by 4 p.m.
