The Wagner boys lost to a very good O’Neill team on Tuesday night. The Red Raiders played a good first half trailing by just 5 points with 3 minutes to go in the second quarter. The Eagles dominated the game from that point on. Wagner trailed 25-47 at the half and lost the game 83-43. Chris Nelson led the team with 14 points and 4 rebounds. Chris also played stellar defense on one of the best players in our area. Toby Zephier finished the game with 11 points and 3 assists, Dustin Honomichl added 9 points and 8 rebounds, Matt Link scored 6, Preston McFayden, Carter Cournoyer and Joey Cournoyer each added 2.

The Red Raiders played solid defense in the third quarter holding O’Neill to just 4 points, Wagner led 35-29 heading into the final period. The Red Raiders held on to win the game 43-36. Ted Slaba burned up the nets with 17 points, Carter Cournoyer added 8, Preston McFayden 7, Glenn Cournoyer 6, Joey Cournoyer 4 and Brady Cournoyer 1.
