LADY RED RAIDERS EARN HOMECOMING WIN OVER AVON

The Wagner Red Raiders swept Avon in three straight sets with the scores of 25-21, 25-10, and 27-25. Senior outside hitter Abby Brunsing led the attack with 17 kills and sophomore Avari Bruguier added 7 in the win. Setters Macy Koupal and Paige Petry delivered 15 and 13 assists to their hitters at the net. Bruguier and Petry were tough at the service line racking up 11 points, 4 aces, and 12 points and 1 ace in the victory. Brunsing scrambled for 12 digs, while Olivia Breen and Petry added 11 digs each to lead the defense. Freshmen Shona Kocer and Macy Koupal chalked up 5 and 3 blocks up at the net.

INTRODUCING JESSICA HEGGE, DISTRICT 21 STATE REP. CANDIDATE

Jessica Hegge of Platte has officially announced she is running for a District 21 State Representative seat in the upcoming general election on November 3rd. District 21 includes Charles Mix, Gregory, and Tripp counties and a portion of Bon Homme county. She will be running against Republican candidates Caleb Finck from Tripp and Rocky Blare from Ideal. The top two vote getters will win seats in the SD House of Representatives.

Mark "Hoss" Yost, 61, of Sioux Falls, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Sioux Falls. Memorial visitation with family present was Friday, September 18 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for Mark's grandchildren.
