The top two place winners from the 1st through 6th grades at the local Andes Central Elementary Spelling Bee moved on to the Missouri Valley Regional Spelling Bee that was held in Platte on Thursday, February 16th. There were 12 participants in each grade level (1st through 6th) ffrom six different area schools. As a team, the Andes Central spellers accumulated enough points to tie for the championship title with Platte-Geddes elementary.
