Tyler Joesph Tjeerdsma is a senior at Avon High School, and was born on June 9th, 2006. Tyler is the son of Amber Babutzke and Travis Tjeerdsma, and stepmother Hillary Tjeerdsma. He has 6 siblings, Thayne, Tucker, Hudsyn, and Haliegn Tjeerdsma, as well as Sean and Nick Schryvers. Tyler enjoys playing sports, welding, and making memories with his friends. One of Tyler's proudest moments is placing at state sporting events as an underclassman. Tyler says that high school has prepared him for life outside of AHS because it taught him how to have responsibility and that not everything is going to be handed to him.

Courtney Sees received her 1000th career dig, at the Great Plains Conference Tournament in Lake Andes on Sep 30, 2023. When we asked Courtney how she felt after achieving this goal, she stated, “I was super happy I was able to achieve it with the help of my coaches and teammates.”

They started off the day by going to DWU where they got an opportunity to visit and ask about different colleges at their designated tables.AfterDWUtheyheaded tothefairgroundsanddid kind of the same thing, but there were more interactive activities, like they could play little minigames to win prizes such as T-shirts, hats, sunglasses, etc. They also gathered tickets if they were interactive and asked questions.Theticketsthatthey got, depending on how many they got, determined the prize they could get before they had to leave.
