NATIONAL PRIDE IN FOODSERVICE WEEK – WAGNER

National Pride in Foodservice Week is February 5th-9th. Pride in Foodservice Week applauds nutrition, foodservice professionals and other members of the dietary team. Recognition and gratitude are well deserved for people who work in these fields. Wagner Community School has twelve foodservice professionals that deserve recognition for all that they do to provide and prepare good school lunches for the staff and students. Wagner’s foodservice professionals are Dave Tolliver, Kathy Leibel, Denise Efta, Sandra Mills, Kathy Winckler, Carolyn Kocer, Robbin Cuka, Lexie Youngstrom, Mary Ann Rucktaseschel, Joni Soukup, Irene Sully and Jan Martin.

Funeral services for Agnes Beulah Madeline Picotte, 88, of Chamberlain were held Wednesday, January 31 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Marty. Burial was in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

The School Administrators of South Dakota (SASD) held a luncheon at the Ramkota Convention Center to recognize the eight Outstanding Administrators of South Dakota. Among the eight were: Dr. Jennifer Lowry, Tea School Superintendent; Darren Ellwein, Harrisburg Middle School Principal; Kathy Holter, Platte-Geddes School Business Official; Dr. Samantha Walder, Tea Elementary School Principal; Pete Wilson, Meade Secondary School Principal; Brady Sumners, Spearfish Assistant Middle School Principal; Ann Pettit, Douglas Curriculum Leader; Mischelle Slaba, Wagner Director of Special Education. for being named outstanding administrators by their respective administrator parent groups.
