SENIOR MUSIC TRIP

The Avon Senior Choir and Band Members enjoyed their triptoMinneapolisonSunday, May 19th and Monday, May 20th. On Sunday they enjoyed time at the waterpark of their hotel,“TheGreatWolfLodge”. Then they all got dressed up and headed out to eat near the Orpheum Theater in downtownMinneapolis.Itwas difficult finding a restaurant that was open on a Sunday night and could seat 11 people! Next, “MJ the Musical” did not disappoint. The vocalists were outstanding, the lights and choreography were phenomenal, and everyone was thrilledwiththeperformance. The students were especially grateful that they ended the showwiththesong“Thriller”. For most of these kids, it was their first experience in a theater of this caliber! We stayed after for some group pictures infrontoftheOrpheum, justin time to catch one of the actors leaving the place. We were excited to get to talk to him and get his autograph. He couldn’t believe we came from a town withasmallerpopulationthan the amount of people that are capableofsittinginthetheater each night!
