THE ORDER EASTERN STAR SOUP AND PIE LUNCHEON HELD

The Order Eastern Star (OES) Soup and Pie luncheon was held Wednesday, March 4 at the Masonic Temple in Armour. The luncheon started as a salad luncheon in 2004. As the memberships have gotten older the salad luncheon switched to the soup and pie luncheon in 2006. Members donated food and made chili and chicken noodle soup along with different kinds of pie. This is one of the bigger fundraisers to help with scholarships for children or grandchildren of the members and help with repairs through out the year.

WCS SEEKS TEACHER OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS

Wagner Community School is seeking nominations for the Wagner Community School Teacher of the Year Award. Those seeking to nominate an educator for the award are asked to complete the nomination form that can be found in The Wagner Announcer on March 9 or March 16, 2020 and send it to Wagner Community School, ATTN: Mr. Shad Storley, Superintendent, 101 Walnut Avenue SW, Wagner, SD 57380. Nomination forms may also be picked up in any of the Principal’s offices or the business office. The deadline is by noon on Friday, April 3, 2020. No forms will be taken after that.
