BRUNSING NAMED KORN/Q107 ELITE EIGHT ATHLETES OF THE YEAR AWARD

Abby Brunsing, a junior at WCS, has been selected as one of the KORN/Q107 Elite Eight Athletes of the Year for the sport of volleyball. The committee for this award selects 8 boys and 8 girls from the surrounding Mitchell area to honor for athletic and academic achievements and community involvement. Brunsing is a threesport athlete, a 4.0 student, and involved in many school and community organizations.

NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS DRIVE BY IN CELEBRATION OF LASSEN'S 50TH ANNIVERSARY

On Tuesday, May 5, friends and neighbors in Pickstown joined in a parade to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Jack and Jan Lassen . More than 25 vehicles, including golf carts, drove by the Lassen residence to offer their congratulations . Jack and Jan were married on May 5, 1970, in Las Vegas .
