Wake services for Joseph Howard, Jr., 30, of Wagner began Sunday at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 2 at the Community Center. Burial was in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Ralph Ishmael, 21, of Mitchell, died Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in Mitchell. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. My fishing in the North Point area near Pickstown hasn’t been as good as in the past. I’ve relied too heavily on rip-rap in the past for walleyes and smallmouth bass, and most of the rip-rap has been exposed by low water. Also, I’ve never before seen so many large schools of baitfish. This could have something to do with it.
