Funeral services for Lillian Dion, 63, were Thursday, July 25 at the Greenwood Community Building. Burial was in the Native American Church Cemetery. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements. Kan Kan passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024 in Columbus Lillian Kaye Dion “Kan Kan” was born on May 16, 1961 in Wagner to Neulan Dion Sr. and Bessie Parker.

Roger Eggena, 82, of Pickstown, died Saturday, July 27, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Society in Tyndall. A Celebration of Roger’s Life will be Friday, August 2 at 10 a.m. at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner. Inurnment will be in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner.

THE LIBRARY LADIES OF THE WAGNER PUBLIC LIBRARY

Wagner has been blessed to have two librarians, Anne Podhradsky, Wagner Public Library Director and Nancy Reinbold, Wagner Public Library Assistant in their folds for the last 20 and 10 years respectively. The ladies have done an excellent job over the years of maintaining as well as expanding the selection and services of the library. The Wagner Public Library is a quiet and comfortable place that offers a great space to pass some time; relax and read the paper; stop in to warm up or cool off; and offers a reason and location to connect with others.

WAGNER’S GOOD SAMARITAN SOCIETY TO REOPEN IN 2025

In November of 2022, a fire at Wagner’s Good Samaritan Society caused a considerable amount of damage to several non-resident areas of the building. Since the fire, it has been the goal of the Wagner Good Samaritan Society to rebuild and reopen the facility in order to bring back vital services to the Wagner community.
