All Avon Chamber of Commerce members or anyone else interested in promoting the businesses in the Avon area are invited to attend the first meeting of 2021 on February 8, 2021 at 7 p.m., in the City Office. Any ideas for promoting the Chamber would be appreciated. We will be social distancing as best as we can and also request that those attending would wear face masks.

Read moreAccording to the American Legion Auxiliary, Girls State is an opportunity for girls across all fifty states to focus on citizenship, leadership, love for God and country. May 31- June 5 marks the 75th anniversary of Girls State. Back in 1947 there were only 117 girls that attended; it has since topped over 400 girls per year. This year it is in Vermillion at the University of South Dakota.
