JOE EHRISMAN
Friends and family of Joe Ehrisman, 57, of Sioux Falls, paid their respects December 2 at the Peters Funeral Home in Wagner, followed by graveside services at the Presbyterian Cemetery, Wagner.
Joseph "Joe" Henry Ehrisman was born January 19, 1963 to Herman Ehrisman Jr. and Shirley (Sip) Eitemiller in Wagner. He was the third of five children. Joe passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at his home in Sioux Falls.
Joseph enjoyed playing baseball, basketball and football for fun, target shooting with his brothers and sister, as well as the usual childhood games like tag and hide and seek on the family farm by Ethan.
Joseph lived many places throughout his life including different places in South Dakota, Racine, WI, Wyoming and Montana. He loved telling his kids and grand kids stories about living in Montana. He spent the majority of his life as a carpenter and doing construction work.
In the fall of 1986 he met his future wife Teresa Greger. They were married February 14, 1992 at the Wagner City Hall. During their relationship they had two children together, their son Matthew and daughter Tiffany.
Joseph was a good, hard working man. He always helped people, he never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was always so happy, always had a smile on his face. He loved going for walks, sitting at Falls Park and watching the water. The simplest things made him so happy, a phone call, a letter, a visit. His face always lit up with a surprise visit from his grandchildren.
Joseph is survived by his mother Shirley Eitemiller of Wagner; son Matthew Greger and granddaughter Sophia Johnson of Crookston, MN; daughter Tiffany Ehrisman and grandson's Trey Meiers and Hunter Meiers of Wagner; ex-wife Teresa Greger of Grand Forks, ND; sister Javon (Bernie) Christensen of Magnolia, MN; brother John (Nadine) Ehrisman of Parkston, brother Jeffrey (Donna) Ehrisman of Huntchinson, MN; mother-in-law Linda Greger of Wagner; brother-in-law Michael Greger of Wagner; sister-in-law Tami (Greger) Voll of Crookston, MN; along with many other loved ones.
