Funeral services for Cheryl Ann Selwyn, 76, of Lake Andes were held Monday, September 23 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Marty. Burial was in the St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery. Peters FuneralHome ofWagner was in charge of arrangements.

Cheryl Ann Selwyn was born on February 11, 1948 to William (Bill) Selwyn and Ethel (Medicine Horn) Selwyn in Greenwood. She joined siblings: David, Richard, Mary Rose, Ann Marie, Timothy and Junior.

She attended school in Marty. She worked several different jobs including CNA, CHR and Grey Eagle Manager from where she retired.

She was loved by many and a friend to all. She was a member of Marty Kateri Circle and chaired many A.A. meetings at the Grey Eagle. As a member of the Kateri Circle, she enjoyed traveling to annual Kateri Circle Conferences. She counseled and support many seeking sobriety.

Cheryl loved to cook and bake in the big kitchen at Grey Eagle and would have monthly family get-togethers for tenants birthdays, holidays, etc. She loved to make fresh baked bread and cinnamon rolls. She always made time for family and friends and always had kind and encouraging words that would brighten anyones day.

Cheryl passed September 20, 2024 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Cheryl is survived by her children: Brian (Tracey), Shelley (Javier), and Shannon; grandchildren: Priscilla, Brianna, Jarod (Makayla), Roseanne, Savanna (Peter), Ryan, and Bradley; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and son John Wayne.
