Doris Jean Daum (known as Sally) was born to Herbert Tubbs Frith and Donna Jean Frith (Stickle) on April 1,1936 in Fresno, CA. She died in her home on August 17, 2022, in Waddell, AZ at the age of 86. Sally passed away surrounded by some of her children and grandchildren. Sally was married to Pastor Harold Daum on November 24,1956 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fresno, CA. Together they had seven children; Joseph Harold Daum (Sandy), Marilee Jean Celis, Linda Marie Anderson (Eric), Daniel William Daum (Phyllis), James Raymond Daum (Deanna), Lisa Carol Kantner (Dana), and Deanna Rebecca Falkena (Christian).
Along with her children, Sally leaves behind twenty-two grandchildren; Joseph N., Gregory and Amanda Daum, Danielle and Garret Allen; Christopher and AnnMarie Celis; Duncan and Jared Anderson, Mikaela McAdaragh; Jacob, Darren and Alexander Daum; Steven and Robert Daum, Mariah Woods; Leslie, David and Johnathan Kantner; Haley Martinez, Natalie and Benjamin Falkena; together with twenty-two great-grandchildren; Peyton and Ethan Daum; Evan and Nolan Celis; Gabriel Celis; Abigail, Carli and Lucy Anderson; Theodore McAdaragh; Braeden, Brynlee and Bennet Daum; Julia Daum; Thomas and Adalyn Daum; Isaac and Tillie Daum; Zoey Dundas and Oliver Sease; Faith, Elijah and Ava Kantner.
Sally worked as a Registered Nurse in California where she retired. She then moved with her children to South Dakota where she continued her work as a nurse in a nursing home. Eventually, she settled in Arizona with most of her children.
Sally was a generous woman who loved the Lord and always put others needs before her own. She regularly donated to the church and missions to spread God's word, to help others gain an education and to help the sick. She was a loving wife and proud mother who always made time to listen, give advice, and have a good laugh. She loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Nothing brought her more joy than her family. Sally enjoyed swimming, gardening, crocheting, reading, and collecting coins. She loved playing card games and will always be remembered as dominating in Shanghai. Sally was ready and longed to go home to the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Richert Daum, her parents, Herbert Tubbs and Donna Jean Frith, and her brother, Raymond Tubbs Frith.
