BRYSON JONES
Bryson Cole Jones, 25, of Lake Andes died Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Burial services were Saturday, September 5 at the Native American Church Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.
Bryson Cole Jones was born to Cornelius and Joan Abdo Jones on November 18, 1994 in Yankton. Bryson was an enrolled member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe and baptized in our Yankton Sioux Native American Crossfire Church. Bryson is a direct descendant of Chiefs’ Feather Necklace, Smutty Bear, Big Tobacco and Saswe.
Most of Bryson’s life he resided in Lake Andes and attended Andes Central School. Bryson graduated Andes Central in 2013. He started to chase his dream of journalism at SDSU in Brookings. Bryson then took a job at S.D. Game, Fish, and Parks and later was employed at the YST T.E.R.O., where he switched careers to Business Accounting, where he worked until present. Bryson will be remembered
for his humor and love for horror films. As a result of his loving personality and generous spirit, he was loved by many. He had a special love for his mother Joan and godchildren—Marshall, Chloe, Madison, Azriel, Heaven and Emma.
Bryson is survived by his parents CJ and Joan, grandmothers: Theresa Hart and Audry Jones; sisters: Tara, Bria and Deserae; brother Todd Roan Eagle, Jr.; nephews: Ethan, Jasiah, Prynce, Royal, Azriel and Ezekial; nieces: Beulah, Syrianna, Jolyssa, Hailey, Shyanne, Jakaiyah, Heaven and Wani Yetu.
Bryson was preceded in death by his grandparents Cornelius Jones, Sr., Joseph Abdo, Sr. and Beulah Trudell Abdo.
