BETTY BLAZEK

Betty Jean Blazek, 97, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Rolling Hills Healthcare in Bell Fourche.

Betty was born in Fall River County on August 10, 1921 to John and Margaret Carpenter. She married Robert Blazek in Yankton on June 13, 1941. After their marriage Bob and Betty farmed in the Ravinia area. In the early 50's they moved to Custer. Approximately 20 years later they moved to Rapid City where Bob worked at Elsworth Air Force Base.

Betty is survived by her son, Paul (Judy) Blazek of Gillette, WY; a daughter, Janet (Bob) Judson of Pierre; five grandsons and their wives; 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Carpenter; five brothers and three sisters, and her husband Robert in 2000.

Burial will take place May 10 at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Rapid City.
