ASHLEY BRUGUIER
Ashley Jovell Bruguier, 30, of Lake Andes “Tasina Hla Hla Win” entered this world on August 10, 1988 at Minneapolis, MN to Joe Gullikson and Questa Feather. She has four sisters: Deidre, Kristi, Brieanne, Autumn and two brothers: Adrian and Jeffrey. At the age of two, Ashely joined the family of Willard Bruguier and Barb Gullikson. She gained an older brother: Willard Jr., and two sisters: Misty and Nicole.
Ashley attended Andes Central School until her sophomore year. She then decided to transfer to Marty Indian School where she excelled in athletics, especially basketball. She graduated in 2007. While at both schools, Ashley made many life-long friends.
Ashley’sgreatestaccomplishment was becoming a mother to her four daughters: Aniyah, Ashtyn, Aibree’l, Aspen and one son: Adriyal. She was an aunt as well and used to tease and spoil her nieces and nephews. She was a strong-spirited young lady. She loved to tease around with everyone and had strong bonds with her friends, especially her sister Kristi and cousin Arlene Saice. Their motto for their group was “We’re the three best friends that anyone could have” and they were always smiling and laughing. Ashley also had a special bond and love for her grandmother, Arlene Gullikson.
Ashley is survived by her children: Aniyah (13), Ashtyn (10), Adriyal (6), Aibree’l (5), and Aspen (3), her grandmother Arlene Gullikson, Mothers: Barb and Questa, Fathers: Joe and Willard, all her sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and numerous relatives.
Ashley is preceded in death by her Grandpa Ben Gullikson, Aunt Myrna WhiteTail, cousin Dionne Begaye, Grandpa Quentin Bruguier, and Aunt Ruby Bruguier.
Funeral services were Monday, February 25 at the National Guard Armory in Wagner. Burial was in the Native American Church Cemetery, rural Wagner. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.
