Armed Forces Memorial
In 2006, Stan and Janet Nedved and Eric and Linda Anderson decided to venture out on their own, which resulted in Best Propane LLC. Both Stan and Eric had worked in the propane business prior to going into business on their own. Best Propane LLC started out with an office in Eric’s house. They purchased a bulk tank in Lake Andes from Gary Rada, upon his retirement. Eric did mainly installation and service work, while Stan drove the bulk truck, providing service locally to Wagner and outlying areas. A few years later, Best Propane LLC purchased land from Wagner Area Growth and moved the business to its current location east of Wagner. Stan and Eric put up a large shed and an additional bulk tank was set at that location. In 2018, Landon Nedved, son of Stan and Janet, joined the company. When Eric and Linda moved to North Carolina, Landon bought out their shares, converting it to a family-owned business. Stan and Janet also have two daughters. Lindsey is a nurse practitioner at WCMH and Laken is the Unit Director at the Wagner Boys & Girls Club of Missouri Valley. Laken is also a web and graphic designer that provides a lot of graphic work for the business as well. Stan and Landon have expanded their service area to approximately a 50-mile radius of Wagner. Services provided include propane delivery, rental and installation of propane tanks, and propane bottle filling. Best Propane LLC continues to grow and expand as a local, family-owned business. “We are very honored to sponsor flags for the Armed Forces Memorial as Stan’s father, Norm Nedved and Janet’s father, Clifford Powers, both served in the military. We thank all who served our country and provided the freedoms we experience today.
The Memorial Board would like to thank the family of Stan and Janet Nedved for purchasing the six Service and American flag of which are flying daily at the Memorial Park. These flags are replaced every six months. The Nedved family have purchased the flags for the months of June through December of 2020. If you are new to the area, the Armed Forces Memorial is located 1/2 block south of the city park along Front Avenue. To be qualified to be part of the memorial a military person should have an honorary discharge paper for their name to be added to the memorial.
