The Science Fair was open to the public from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Awards were held at 8:00 p.m. Each individual or group used a trifold board or poster board to put their information on, and each individual or group presented their board to the judges.
Read moreOn Friday, February 12, the senior choir and band members (ALL GIRLS) went around to different towns to serenade someone’s special someone as a Sweetheart Serenade. For $10, Keely Bares, Megan Soukup, Cassie Stewart, Ali Sees, Kristen Namminga, and Natalie Zacharias would serenade your sweetheart to the tune of “The Way You Do the Things You Do.” They also performed “Amazing Grace” and “Jesus Loves Me” for nursing home residents in Lake Andes, Corsica, and Wagner.

This year, cheer camp was held on February 13, and the performance was on February 16 during the halftime of the boys basketball game against Gayville-Volin.

Read moreEvery February the Avon Cheerleaders go around selling “Crush Pops” for a dollar as a fundraiser for Valentine’s Day. The cheerleaders hand out little sheets of paper with cute Valentine sayings on which students can write their name and to whom they would like to give a pop.
Read more“Random Acts of Kindness” week was from February 14-20 and here in Avon there was a week full of fun. Everyday of the week there was a small act of kindness that was encouraged.
