President Becky Brunsing welcomed thirteen Rotary members to the May 22nd meeting at Noon. There were no guests present except for the program so she called upon Rotarian/Pastor Bill Herrmann to lead the members in prayer. Pastor Bill gave thanks for all the rain we have experienced and asked for prayers of comfort for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one in our community.

David Woods has been a volunteer firefighter for the Wagner Volunteer Fire Department for the past 11 years. Woods is the current Assistant Chief for the department. This time next year, Woods will be chief of the department. An interesting detail about the Wagner Volunteer Fire Department is that serving as an officer is a six-year commitment starting with the secretary/treasurer position then moving to assistant chief and finally chief, serving two years in each position.

Tonya Urquieta was present representing the Older Adult Resource Network program. She is the Network Coordinator and is available for presentations to various groups and/or individuals to explain the program goals to the people. Her phone number is 832-525-8699 and website is OARN.LssSD.org. Chaplain Don Kotab gave the invocation which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion was recited by all members. Commander Rados then called the meeting to order.
